My useless skill of identifying filmi kids turned into a mini project of creating a Bollywood child artist directory. This is no way a complete list of all the Masters and Babies that appeared on the Hindi film screen but I have tried to cover as many of them between the 1950s to the early 2000s.

Silverado is an American western film produced and directed by Lawrence Kasdan. The film released in 1985 and was nominated for Best Sound and Best Original Score at the 58th Academy Awards. The film mostly received positive reviews and Silverado is said to be one of the classics of Hollywood Western.

I am not sure what precisely the original poster meant by a"non-European approach" to Malayalam (or Indian) cinema. Interpretationof film and its history outside a European/US-American context is mostcertainly related to the issue of post-colonialism. I am not really inthe position to make any informed statements in that area, but wouldfirst of all recommend taking a look at the works of Paul Willemen (e.g.his collection of essays "Looks and Frictions", published by the BritishFilm Institute 1994), plus those by Ashish Nandy and AshishRajadhyaksha. Below, I give a short list of publications which might berelevant to the study of Malayalam cinema in some way or another. Someof these deal specifically with the relation between certain forms ofdrama and cinema, where one could probably expect references to moreclassical theories. More references can be given upon request.
