As Muslims, we are known to be among the most prayerful of people. Many Muslims will serve their whole day without even taking a break to take a sip of water. The Quran has mentioned that Muslims should perform five prayers each day, but some Muslims will pray more than this number daily. When it comes to praying, you have to devise your own schedule so you can fit in your prayers. However, there is an issue with this schedule which leads many Muslims who attempt the schedule not being able to find the time for prayer after work or school which then leads them not being able to pray at all. The issue is that Muslims used to pray at different times. For example, Muslims in the Middle-East would pray Zuhr before 1:00 P.M. while Muslims in Africa would pray it after 2:00 P.M.. This led to problems when Muslims came together to perform the Friday Prayer (Jumu'ah) at the mosque because some were still praying Dhuhr while others had finished praying it and were already praying Asr. Also, Imams are unable to determine when it is time for Maghrib or Isha because of this same reason which leads many prayer times not being prayed at their actual time. There are many people who come to the mosque with many different times for prayer and it is not easy to correct them. The issue of praying at different times is common among Muslims worldwide and has affected the prayer time of people everywhere. It is important that we pray at the right time; not only do we have to pray when our lord wants, but we also have to be on time for it as well. The purpose of this article is not only to share my experience which led me to pray during my lunch break, but also that it will help others from making this mistake as well. In Islam, praying two rak'ahs after work or school after 5:30 P.M. is not considered "worship" or "zuhd". You are allowed to pray these two rak'ahs during the day, but it is important for us to be on time for them so that we can not miss them. There are many people throughout the world who pray Zuhr before 1:00 P.M. while some others pray Dhuhr before 2:00 P.M.. This leads some people to have problems praying Jumu'ah at the mosque because they are already praying Asr while others are still in Dhuhr. The reason of this is because of the time difference between, for example, Australia and Malaysia which is 6 hours where Muslims in Australia get up at 6:00 A. M. while Muslims in Malaysia do not pray Zuhr until 11:00 A.M.. In order to prevent these problems, we must be on time for our prayers so we can pray when they are supposed to be prayed. If we get up a little bit later, then we can stop praying altogether and go back to what we did before. Many people will celebrate the end of the work week or school year because it is Friday and they will then forget that tomorrow is Eid ul-Fitr. This is a big mistake because all of us should make it a point to be on time for our prayer tomorrow. cfa1e77820
